Operate First Data Science Community Meetup #9
by Aakanksha Duggal
Hello all,
Please join us for another Operate First Data Science Community Meetup
on Tuesday, *April 5th, 2022 at 11:00 ET*. In this meetup, get an
overview of *AI4CI - Artificial Intelligence for Continuous
Integration <https://www.operate-first.cloud/data-science/ai4ci>**, *a
collection of open-source AIOps tools involving open operations data
made available by Kubernetes testing and visualization platforms.
The speakers will demonstrate how they developed a set of Jupyter
Notebooks which are automated using Kubeflow Pipelines into repeatable
processes that collect data from various open CI/CD data platforms,
calculate and visualize key performance indicator metrics, build AI/ML
services to support operations and create a reproducible workflow
around these processes. In this session, attendees learn about a set
of AIOps services deployed on Operate First
<https://www.operate-first.cloud/> that they can start using and get
familiarized with how to use the set of tools available on the Operate
First cloud to deploy their own workloads.

New SIG Community forms two WGs: Website Updates WG and Contrib_X Docs WG
by Karsten Wade
Folks:
In last week's SIG Community meeting we ratified our own charter,
meaning we became officially-official and could start doing things:
https://github.com/operate-first/community/blob/main/sig-community/charte...
The reason I can't easily give you an operate-first.cloud link for
that is because we need to update the website information architecture
and content. So we formed the "Website Updates Working Group (WG)":
https://github.com/operate-first/community/issues/134https://github.com/o...
If you are interested in how the website is laid out,
writing/editing/reviewing content, and creating the templates and
processes used by SIGs, WGs, and subprojects, please join us. You can
note your interest in a comment to the tracking issue #134
Website Updates WG: https://github.com/operate-first/community/issues/134
But to do any of this you need to understand how to contribute on
GitHub, which includes knowing or learning the answer to the question
of, "What is a 'git' and what is a 'hub'?" To work on the
documentation supporting the contributor ladder we formed the
"Contrib_X Docs WG":
If you want to help improve the onboarding experience for new users
and contributors, this WG is focusing on bringing people up the
ramp/ladder. We'll identify and reference existing external docs, and
we'll identify and fill gaps for docs within our own project. You can
note your interest in a comment to the tracking issue #131:
Contrib_X Docs WG: https://github.com/operate-first/community/issues/131
You can find out more about SIG Community, including our charter and
meeting details, at this page:

Kind regards,
- Karsten, co-chair SIG Community

Can y'all remind me, who volunteered to help admin the mailing lists
with me?
It may also be we want to instantiate a SIG to own communications
(mailing lists, blogs, presentations, etc.), but in the meantime ...
