Um, there is no summary on what follows, I'm just excited for the
possibilities:
Automating the updating and maintenance of documentation was one of the
first unpolished gems I saw in this community. Consider the importance of
docs in a DevOps/SRE context, and then in combination with an AIOps
approach applying what machine learning is pulling in real time from the
stream of a project's activity directly to the runbooks, how-tos,
onboarding materials, metrics, reporting, and so much. Commit once,
rebuild/render/redeploy/redocument everywhere. Engineering a documentation
approach is core to our mission. As an open source docs person, I *love*
that.
I am getting extremely positive responses when I talk with others about how
this can work, such as automating a Community Handbook, that I think we
have a chance to define and create something I haven't seen in other
places: a system designed to remove the toil from documentation through
advanced AIOps.
