Thanks, have you got any notes written up from your experience so far with calendaring, videoing the meeting, etc.?

I can write up a quick how-to, including some scripted elements. We'll want to include an opening statement, e.g., Start recording after confirming you are going to do so out loud so people aren't surprised, then say, "Welcome to the Day Month Year meeting of the SIG Foo of the Op1st project. This meeting is being run under our community's Code of Conduct, which can be found on our website operate-dash-first-dot-cloud. This meeting is being recorded and the recording plus the chat log will be released publicly alongside the notes from this meeting."

I would make sure that the gmeet invite is created using an account that has paid features (e.g. using a company account, and not a free account). Otherwise you won't have features like recording, or raising hands.

Hi Karsten,

Just wondering if the meeting recording will be provided? If so, that would be much appreciated!

Hi Jeremy, that's a great and important question.

We definitely will record all these meetings.

Recorded meetings should really be the rule, saving non-recorded meetings for discussions that need to be private. But we may need to make that explicit in the Governance, and definitely should say it in the meeting invite (and as part of the introduction in the meeting itself), so it's also not a surprise to attendees.

Thanks!
