Thanks to everyone who attended our Operate First Data Science Community Meetup earlier this week. It was great to see all the folks interested in learning more and contributing to the current state of AI operations and cloud infrastructure in an open way.

In this meetup, @Michael Clifford discussed the upcoming changes to the Operate First Data Science community at large. Specifically, the transition from its current state to an official Special Interest Group (SIG) governed by the Operate First community. He explained what a SIG means, reviewed the community’s goals and purposes, and presented the draft SIG charter for which community input and feedback would be much appreciated.
